It’s Jack’s 1-year anniversary at the shelter. But he’s feeling too sad to wear his party hat. He can’t help but wonder, “Why hasn’t anyone picked me yet? As chief office-greeter, I always do my best to show visitors what a sweet, mellow guy I am. They pat me and admire me … then adopt someone else. Will my turn ever come?” OK, folks.
