JAZZEE Hi! My name is Jazze, and I am a 3 year old American Bulldog. I was surrendered to LRHS in July 2012 due to my previous owner developing personal issues. The staff at LRHS have been great to me, and have learned a great deal about my likes, and "dislikes". I absolutely "Do Not get along with Cats", and can not go to a home with a cat. Although I am looking to be the only dog in my forever home, I do love other dogs. In fact every dog that has come up from Tennessee, or South Carolina have become my friends. I feel I need 1:1 attention at this time, and a real buddy, so I would prefer to be the only dog. I have been "stereotyped" by people that visit me as "the mean kennel dog". This has kind of hurt my feelings. I may be protective of my kennel, but I am a sweet-heart when outside of my kennel. I have been in the kennel for almost a year now, so naturally anyone would become protective of where they have to live all day and night. I went from a soft couch and nightly company to being alone in a kennel. I am a confident dog, very driven, playful, love to play ball, love car rides, enjoy walks on a leash, and will need a fenced in yard so that I can roam around free. Some people mistake my confidence to protect my kennel as being mean, but the staff at LRHS can reassure you I am very eager to please. I ask that you have some background experience with my breed, and that you maintain my weight so that my spine disorder does not cause pressure on my lower back. The staff at LRHS has worked hard to maintain my great figure, and I need to keep a steady exercise routine. Come play ball outside with me and give me a chance to prove what an awesome pal I can be to the right adopter.

  | SEGA Sega is a 3.5 year old female/spayed Redbone Hound that came to LRHS as a surrender through no fault of her own. This sweet, sassy girl listens to "COMMANDS" and not sweet, baby talk. Sega is energetic, requires lots of exercise, and either an electronic fence or 6 ft fenced in area. Sega walks best with a gentle leader rather than a leash. In fact she is more calm when she has a gentle leader in place. Although Sega is friendly with other dogs, and people, we recommend no children under 8 years of age or cats. Sega is 75lbs and full of energy that may just knock a little one down during play. |

 | COOPER
Cooper is a 10 month old Hound/Mix rescue from Tennessee. Cooper is shy when you first meet him, but loves to play once he comes out of his shell. Cooper does show an intimidation side with other dogs by barking at first, and then all he wants to do is play with them once he knows they will not hurt him. Cooper likes cats, and has been to K9 Obedience Training.
