RUSTY
My name is Rusty and I am now up for adoption here at The Lakes Region Humane Society. I was brought to the shelter as a stray and no one ever claimed me! I don’t know why? I mean I am a pretty handsome cat…I am a Neutered male of course! I am happy to be around other cats and just love the attention of humans. You must be wondering what my favorite past time is here at the shelter…I would have to say-EATING. This place really has some great food; I just can’t get enough of it. Please come meet me, I would be happy to have your house be my new home! |

PITA
I'm quite a handsome cat! Believe it or not I happened to wander into
the LRHS hands...I just happened to be on one of my "Tom Cat" strols and one
of the staff members scooped me up. So they had me neutered at one of the
wonderful vets and now I am neutered and current on vaccinations. Although
I did have a little "kitty cold" but the vet tech here took such good care
of me-now I am up for adoption! And what a catch I would be for someone. I
like other cats and I am a really easy going guy!

TILLY
Tilly is a 10 year old medium length hair cat. She has a very unusual color coat. She is white with grey, and brown mixed in and she has a bob tail. Tilly is very shy, she loves the attention of people but is not very comfortable with other cats.

|
MILO
Milo is a large buff colored cat, about 5 years old. He likes quiet time and little spaces to curl up in. He does not like too much commotion. He’s a quiet guy. He’s also neutered.

|
SANDY
Sandy came in with Cookie and is just as sweet. She is a loving, cute, petite, spayed little girl. She purrs and would love a forever home and you would love her.
| | |
SIMON
Simon is a short haired tiger cat. He is approx. 10 years old, but he doesn’t know it. He is very friendly with people and cats alike. He would probably like a quiet home where he could lay in the sun and be your friend.

JADE is a very shy, yet vocal, black cat. When we go to spend time petting her, she tends to make growly noises - but it seems she is just talking to us, more than anything else. With a quiet personaility, we would like to see Jade go to a laid back, calm home where she can lay in the sun, hide in the plants, or sit on the couch and watch TV. According to her medical records, Jade was born in approximately 1993, needless to say she is a Super Senior; also, she is spayed.

CLARENCE
My name is Clarence. I’m a 4 year old neutered male. I’m a shy guy at first, but once you get to know me you’ll realize that I’m friendly, affectionate and playful. I love to be held and at my last home I would sleep on the foot of the bed every night. I have always been an inside cat for as long as I can remember. I lived in a house with 5 kids, so I get along well with kids. I would love a visit from you.
|
SCOOTER Hi my name is Scooter. I am an all black male 14 year old cat. I’m having lots of fun with my new friends here at Lakes Region Humane Society but I would like to have a home of my own with you. I would be very nice to any cats you already have and I would be nice to your dog too. Please stop by to say hello.
|
PANDA I was surrendered with 4 other cats, and I’m looking for my forever home. I’m a 2 year old neutered male. My previous owner had asthma and apparently I was really helping his condition. I am looking for someone to think of me as a breath of fresh air.

|
MIA I’m Mia. I’m 7 years old and have been spayed. I’m a beautiful brown/orange domestic short haired girl. Although I do tolerate the cats here at the shelter I would prefer to be the only cat. |
|
| |
JINGLE BELL Just to let you know I would enjoy a household wthout DOGS! Please! Other cats are no problem, but boy those big teeth really make a girl nervous. Other then that I am a happy go lucky kind of girl! |
|
|
WIDGET
My name is Widget and my owner was no longer able to keep me. I don’t have a problem with other cats at all, actually I don’t have a problem with humans either I am just a little shy. Please come meet me at the shelter!

SHADOW Shadow is a neutered male approx. 20 months of age. He has a short coat and likes other cats and people. He is very outgoing and a loveable guy. He was surrendered so he would like a forever home. |

WALDO Where’s Waldo? Here I am, at the Lakes Region Humane Society waiting to be adopted. I’m an orange domestic medium haired neutered male, about 4 years old. I’m very laid back, nothing seems to bother me. The cats here at the shelter are pretty cool. I like to lie down on the highest spot in the cat room to cat watch and take my naps.
|
TOM CHANCE
I am a very sweet 10 year young boy. I have a really cool haircut that the Vet Tech gave me when I first arrived here at the shelter. She said that I was terribly matted and that the haircut would make me feel MUCH better. I have plenty of energy; I love to play with the toys that are in the “senior room.” Although it seems the older ladies in the “senior room” don’t appreciate my playfulness. Well, their loss! Either way I would love to have your attention…I already have the staff’s but that is not enough for guy like me! |
|
|
ELVIS
I’m Elvis and I came in with my buddy Tom Chance. I may be an older cat (10 years old), but please don’t let that discourage you from adopting me. Let me state my case. I’m a neutered male, affectionate, I like other cats, I love people, I have an awesome personality , I’m quiet . Am I going overboard? I even let the people here at the shelter give me a bath, aren’t I great. My buddy, Tom Chance, isn’t half bad either. When you come in to say hi to me please say hi to him also. See, I’m also thoughtful. Hope to see you soon.

TIFFANY Hello...I only have a quick second to chat...Because I am fast and
always on a mission. My favorite past time here at the shelter is escaping
from the cat rooms. And ohhhh what fun the staff has trying to catch me. I
like to call it a little cat and mouse game! Well I am about 2 years old
and I do enjoy the company of other cats. Anyway...gotta run, hope to see
you soon! |
| |
GRACE Well let me tell you…I just want to make sure that my future home understands that I have no tolerance for dogs. NONE! I am fine with other cats. But I WILL be in charge. I would like to live with adults and most likely not small children. I can play a little rough. I guess kids don’t like that type of thing. The other thing is…I had a bunch of little ones when I first came here, and at my age (3) I would like to retire…from motherhood that is! |

|
PENELOPE
My name is Penelope. I would really prefer a quiet household where I can truly become comfortable. I have been a little shy here at the shelter, but I am slowly coming out of my shell now that I am getting to know the schedule and staff. I don’t have a problem with any of the other cats and wouldn’t mind another companion. As the staff knows more about me…they will give you updates. So you will have to just wait and see what else this story has to offer…

GLEN Hi I’m Glen. I am having a nice time here. We have nice people friends with food and attention. The other cats here are very nice also. I think I’m just ready to go home, I’d like to be in my own home with my nice new family. I’d be a very good cat. I like to lie in the sun and take cat naps, I love to be patted and I like to rub up against your legs (that’s my way of saying here I am you can love me now.) I also like to play with my cat toys, if you watch; you’ll think it’s funny. Please come and see us soon, you won’t be sorry and we’re waiting to meet you.
|
NOVA I’m Nova and I’m 2 years old. I’m an all black spayed girl. I’m very affectionate and love people and other cats; unfortunately because I have the chronic sniffles I can only be with my buddy Linda or an only cat. Linda and I seem to have the same thing that is why we are aloud to hang out together. If you come and see us you would see just how well we get along and would amuse each other and you. That is all for now, remember to ask for me because I’m not in with everyone else. I’m upstairs with my friend, Linda waiting to get a visitor or two. |

LINDA Hi I’m Linda! I like to go at one speed – hyper speed. I have a great personality and love to play. I’m a domestic long haired black spayed female that will be one in August. I really would love to go home with my buddy Nova, we get along great, plus we both have this silly sneezy thing, so I either have to go to a house with no cats or with Nova. I’m such a great kitty, well almost cat. Please ask for me and they will show you where I am. Hope to see you soon.
|
ETHEL Hi, I’m Ethel. I’m a 2 year old spayed girl. I’m a long haired orange beautiful cat, with big yellow eyes. I love people and dogs, but I don’t like cats. Please come down and see me. Linda, the vet tech says that you don’t see too many long haired orange female cats, I think that’s worth a trip down to the shelter just to see me..., please.
|
AVERY
I’m Avery, an orange and white neutered boy. I’m about 4 years old and came into the shelter as a stray. I’m a laid back guy that just loves to sit and look out the window. I love being scratched and petted. I have a few marks on my face and head from when I was a stray and alone. You know what they say though, it’s what’s inside that counts. I’m making some great cat friends here at the shelter, but would love to have a real home. Please come see me. |
|
|
LULU Hi! My name is LuLu and I’m a 4 year old calico spayed female. As you can see I’m a very beautiful calico cat. I get along great with other cats. I’ll fit right into your lifestyle and just go with the flow. That is just me. Please come down and check me out, I’d love to meet you.
|
LORRAINE My name is Lorraine. I’m an all black spayed female. I’m a one year old very affectionate and outgoing girl. I like to use my human friends as a rubbing post. I get along with dogs. I’m so new here that I haven’t been let loose with the other cats yet. I have such a great personality thou that I’m pretty sure we will all just get along great, but I’ll give you an update soon. Please come down to see me and you’ll fall in love with me.

LEROY I’m Leroy and I’m a black long haired one year old neutered male. I like dogs, but it may take me a little while to warm up to them. I’m not as much of a people person as my sister, Lorraine. I would rather lie down on a blanket and watch everything that goes on around me. I’m a quiet cat, a mellow cat; do you think we would make a great match?

|
HENRIETTA Henrietta is my name and I was born the end of July 2007. I’m a gorgeous, at least that’s what I hear everyone say, domestic long haired spayed female. When I first came here to the shelter I was a pretty scared little girl. With the human’s love and affection I’m doing much better now. I love to be held and I’m working on making friends with the other cats here. I would love a visit from you.
